About this place
The hearty rice dishes are an obvious place to start. The creamy chicken curry combines 13 spices and comes with accompaniments such as onion achar, carrot râpé and komatsuna poriyal, which can be mixed into the curry. There is also a special taco rice topped with minced meat and house-made salsa, with lime adding a fresh note, as well as lu rou fan, pork simmered in sweet soy sauce scented with star anise. If choosing between them proves difficult, you can order curry alongside another dish.
Beyond the rice dishes, the menu includes light bites and baked treats such as a Sloppy Joe grilled sandwich, a Cuban sandwich and an anko and cream cheese sandwich. A simple house-made scone, muffins or house-made pudding make a sweet accompaniment to coffee.
The drinks menu is just as varied. Choose a coffee to suit your preference, from Ethiopia Washed Mocha, noted for its citrusy aroma, to full-bodied Kenya Kirinyaga and Colombia Supremo decaffeinated coffee. There are also house-made ginger and chai lattes, frozen drinks under the name “Fratch!”, and, in the evening, alcoholic options such as downtown-style highballs and coffee shochu drinks.
In Yotsugi, Katsushika Ward, the cafe serves customers dining in as well as those taking food away. Opening hours are split between daytime and evening on some days, so check in advance if you have a particular time in mind.
